LRA PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION, 2011-2012

Welcome! As a parent (or guardian) at Lake Ridge Academy, your child is likely to inspire you to get involved at the school. The energy is quite contagious. There are many ways to share the Lake Ridge Academy experience with your child, and getting involved in the Parents’ Association is just one of those. All parents (or guardians) are automatically members of the Parents’ Association! There is no application, no registration, and no fee. One of the goals of the PA is to provide multiple opportunities for volunteer service and support programs leading to the enrichment of Lake Ridge Academy.*

The Parents’ Association at Lake Ridge Academy not only provides an easy way for parents to meet each other, we run the Back to School Picnic, organize the parent potlucks, run the Lower School Family Fun Night, the Holiday Craft Workshop, the Plant and Garden Sale, and many others.

We also offer 3 faculty grant options, organize and fund the Senior Luncheon, offer a $1000 community service scholarship to a graduating senior, run an enormous garage sale, established and run the lunch program, and support the school auction. This year, we will open a new school store where we will sell logowear and other items too.

Lake Ridge Academy is proud to be a member of the Cleveland Council of Independent Schools. The Parents’ Association is an active participant in the CCIS Parent Representative Group. Learn more about CCIS here: www.ccis-ohio.org
