"Our students understand fully the importance
of knowing more than one language. While at Lake Ridge many
of them study thirteen years of French - from Kindergarten
to Twelfth grade, or seven years of Spanish - from Sixth
to Twelfth grade. A good number of them also are in the combined
French/Spanish program.
We
also
offer
Italian
as
an elective
for Juniors and Seniors who have finished their three year
language requirement.
I am very happy when I hear that many of our graduates decide
to continue to study a foreign language in college or go
to study abroad. I am also very happy when I hear that they
decide to begin studying yet another language: some of our
graduates have gone on to study Portuguese, German, Russian,
Rumanian, Chinese, Japanese.....

V of the Holy Roman Empire.(As many languages as you speak,
so many individuals you are worth.) Broad interpretation:
The more languages we speak, the more we are worth."
