Examples of courses include sign language, Italian, using modern forensics to solve crimes, drum circle, karate and tai kwan do, rocketry, orienteering, and numerous classes in the arts, including ceramics, theatrical dance, and lessons in voice and various instruments.

Emphasis is on encouraging the creative process and achieving dynamic results, building community through teamwork, shaping character through new experiences in learning, and fostering lifelong learning.

Classes are held in the fall and spring and are taught by local professionals and Lake Ridge Academy faculty. Classes are held in various buildings on the Lake Ridge Academy campus. Fees for courses vary by class.
