Social Studies

Eighth-grade social studies focuses on American History. Students explore what it means to be a citizen of the United States through the inquiry and examination of concepts essential to the development of this country. Among these are the principles of democracy, nationalism, individualism, and capitalism. In addition, students study how the government of the United States functions.
