Families
looking for quality education often seek independent schools
for their children. While these families understand the benefits
of private education - small classes, excellentteaching,
close student-teacher relationships, and a real sense of
community - they are also aware of the costs.
Today
there are more resources available than ever before for families
seeking to finance an independent school education. Lake
Ridge Academy is committed to enrolling students from diverse
economic, ethnic, racial, and social backgrounds. As part
of that commitment, the school has established a program
of tuition assistance for families who would otherwise be
unable to consider Lake Ridge as an option for their children.
Need-based
tuition assistance is a grant by Lake Ridge Academy used
to offset tuition that does not have to be paid back. Financial
aid is given to families who demonstrate financial need,
which is defined as the difference between a family's resources
and a child's educational expenses. A standardized approach
is used to determine this need, and grants are awarded on
a year to year basis. The school's budget accommodates a
designated amount of financial aid. Lake Ridge Academy makes
awards after a review of the family's financial information.
