Baseball Team Building on Success

The Lake Ridge Academy Baseball team added two wins last week bringing the team’s record to 5-11. They defeated conference opponents Fuchs Mizrachi by a score of 15 to 11 and rival Open Door 8 to 3. 

On April 4th, 2013, Lake Ridge Academy defeated Lawrence Academy 20 to 0 when14-year-old freshman, Niko Ortiz, pitched a perfect game in his first-ever start! “I haven’t pitched since I played in the city league when I was 7,” Ortiz told the Chronicle.  “My coach said he wanted to give me a chance on the mound. I never expected to throw a perfect game. It just kind of happened.” 

Come support the baseball team on Wednesday May 15th for the Baseball District Tournament Game at 4:30 at Serra Field. 631 East 222nd St Euclid 44123.

By offering a variety of sports, Lake Ridge Academy is able to offer an athletic experience for students of various ability levels. 70 percent of our students participate in our interscholastic sports program – a number considerably above the national norm. For the serious athlete, Lake Ridge Academy has made a strong commitment to provide our athletes with a competitive schedule. The middle school programs and their coaches work closely with our varsity coaches to develop our student-athletes’ athletic potential. Every year we graduate student-athletes who participate at the college level, often receiving excellent scholarships.

Lake Ridge Academy is a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) and we abide by the association rules and regulations.
