Mock Trial Team Competes in State Competition
Lake Ridge Academy's two Mock Trial teams made quarter
finals at the state competition. After having competed in the District
Mock Trail Competition in Elyria where both teams emerged victorious,
taking first and second place, the two teams moved on to the state
competition held on March 14-16 in Columbus. Pitted against 40 other
teams from around the state, Lake Ridge's teams placed in the top14
teams. Seniors Russell Kornblith (
Oberlin) and Rakesh Kilaru ( North
Royalton) took "Best Attorney" awards. Winning "Best
Witness" awards were senior Niyati Shah
(Westlake) and junior Nick McClusky
(Rocky River).
