About Us
Founded in 1963, Lake Ridge Academy is an independent, co-educational day school that serves Northeastern Ohio and the only independent school on Cleveland’s West side. We enroll qualified students in grades K-12 without regard to race, color, religion, nationality or ethnic background.
Our program is rigorous, designed for academically able and highly motivated students. We are committed to and promote the entire learning process—the development of both intellect and character—and see the two as complementary growth processes. Our students develop a genuine concern for their fellow human beings and learn to respect diversity while striving toward their own individuality.
Our school is divided into three academic divisions, each headed by a division director. Lower School includes kindergarten through grade 5, the Middle School is made up of grades six through eight, and the Upper School includes grades nine through twelve. All three levels of our school are together on a single campus, affording students of all ages daily opportunities to interact with one another.
