Academic Excellence
In 2008, Lake Ridge Academy was named the state champion of the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education’s Mock Trial competition. We went on to represent Ohio at nationals and were ranked 13th. It’s a sterling example of how our successive, fully integrated curriculum of academics, athletics, and arts yields strong academic results for our students.
The Facts
- Our 2008 graduating class received 97 acceptances from colleges and universities, and was awarded $4 million in four-year academic scholarships. Ninety percent of our students also received early acceptance at the colleges of their choice.
- More than 50 percent of seniors graduate each year with college credits from our academic partnership with Oberlin College and from our 14 Advanced Placement courses. These include English, Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, French, Spanish, U.S. History, World History, and Portfolio Art.
- Lake Ridge Academy has consistently high National Merit Finalist representation, including eight students in the class of 2008.
