In the sixth through eighth grades, students move from a primarily Macintosh environment to the PC world. The students are given full email and network client accounts. Along with proper ethical use of the local and global networks, students are introduced to early skills in more advanced computer technologies. By the time they are ready to enter the Upper School, all continuing students at Lake Ridge Academy are expected to be fully computer literate and responsible citizens in the use of the World Wide Web.

The Middle School Computer Lab is in the Community Resource Center. The lab has 22 Dell PCs. There is an a high-speed laser printer and a large central worktable to support student paste-up projects, teacher-student conferencing, and student group projects. A scanner, digital cameras, and color printers are available to the Middle School students for graphics production projects.
