Eight Students Recognized for Athletic Excellence

Eight Upper School students were recognized for their excellence in athletics by Lorain County. Six students were recognized for their achievements in soccer and two students were commended for their seasons in cross country.

The Lorain County Coaches Association votes on and acknowledges the best athletes in Lorain County after the conclusion of the season. Six Lake Ridge Academy Upper Schoolers were recognized for their achievements in soccer, Luka Sergent-Mani '25 - Boys Division 3- 2nd Team, Marco Sison '25 - Boys Division 3- Honorable Mention, Lucas Jahan '25 - Boys Division 3- Honorable Mention, Jackson Beach '24 - Boys Division 3- 1st Team Goalkeeper, Sam Calcut '23 - Boys Division 3- 1st Team, Solomon Peterson '25 - Boys Division 3 - 2nd Team.

Two Lake Ridge Academy students were recognized by Lorain County for their achievements in cross country, Andrew Young '25 - All Lorain County Cross Country - 1st Team, and Christian Gorny '26 - All Lorain County Cross Country - Honorable Mention.

Athletic Director of Lake Ridge Academy Peter Eckendorf said "It's always great to see the hard work our athletes put into their seasons get recognized by awards like these. Athletics is a big part of many of our students’ school experience and winning awards alongside larger high schools is a testament to the quality of our programs."
