Upper School Artists Earn Two National Scholastic Art Awards

Congratulations to our two Upper School artists for winning National Scholastic Art Awards. Olivia Watling ’19 received a National Gold Medal for her piece, Rose. Michelle Zhang ’20 received a National Silver Medal for her painting, Self-Portrait. 153 Gold Key pieces were sent from the Lorain County competition to the National Scholastic Art Awards which occur annually in New York City. Only five pieces were selected to receive National Awards from the Lorain County entries, so it is quite a feat that two of them are from Lake Ridge Academy students!
