Class of 2019 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Lake Ridge Academy announced its Class of 2019 valedictorian, Jodie Xiaojing Deng, and salutatorian, Laila Haidar.

Jodie is a native of Shenyang, in the Liaoning province of China and arrived in the United States in 2017 as a sophomore through Lake Ridge Academy’s international program. She is the first international student to achieve this honor at Lake Ridge. Jodie will be attending Johns Hopkins University this fall to study chemistry and bimolecular engineering

Laila will be attending Oberlin College this fall to pursue a degree in art history.
