Open Positions

Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations

Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations is responsible for building relationships with and supporting programs for Lake Ridge Academy (LRA) donors and alumni to engage them in activities that will enhance the future of the school. The Assistant Director will design a comprehensive approach to manage all aspects of annual giving, focusing on LYBUNTS, SYBUNTS, current donors, the Royals Fund, and managing LRA’s Aspire Scholarship. The position will also manage the existing Alumni Relations program with the goal of improving Alumni involvement, participation, and revenue.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Create and implement an Annual Giving strategy.
  • Use data, metrics, and benchmarks to report on progress toward all goals, including the annual giving and SGO attainment goal.
  • Implement and evaluate an alumni engagement strategy.
  • Coordinate and manage groups of alumni volunteers.
  • Support the Annual Giving and Alumni Relations budget.
  • Encourage alumni-to-student relationships.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree;
  • Four (4) to six (6) years of work experience in advancement/fundraising with a proven track record of planning and managing successful appeals;
  • Knowledge of engagement best practices and fundraising principles;
  • Experience using Raisers Edge or a similar donor database software;
  • Demonstrated experience with donor qualification and donor recruitment/retention improvement;
  • Positive attitude and proven ability to meet face-to-face with all levels of constituents (donors, parents, alumni, and volunteers);
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written;
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends during peak periods;
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Additional Desired Requirements:

  • Experience in the K-12 independent school space;
  • Experience with the State of Ohio Scholarship Granting Organization initiative;
  • Experience with alumni/donor qualification and alumni/ donor recruitment/retention improvement plan.

Advanced Placement Computer Science

We are seeking a part-time Advanced Placement Computer Science A teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. As a member of the LRA Upper School faculty, the instructor will be responsible for designing curriculum for one section of AP Computer Science A with the goal of preparing students for their Advanced Placement exam. The class will meet 7 periods in a 10-day cycle with rotating class meeting times. We welcome applicants who have experience teaching computer science at a college level, as an adjunct professor or instructor, or have previous experience teaching AP Computer Science A. Experience teaching the Advanced Placement Curriculum is desirable but not required; Lake Ridge Academy will send the successful candidate to an AP Summer Institute (likely online) to help prepare them, if necessary. A 4-year degree is required, in computer science is preferred.

School Bus Drivers

Lake Ridge Academy, an independent K-12 college preparatory school, is seeking route and substitute bus drivers. Duties could include regular route coverage as well as afternoon athletic trips. The attendance of all mandatory training as recommended by the state and our school is required. Interested parties must possess a valid Ohio class B school bus driver’s license with air brake endorsement and a current Ohio Pre Service School Bus Driving Certificate. Candidates will be subject to all federal, state and local background checks. Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing are mandatory.
