Kindergarten Teacher

Lake Ridge Academy is seeking a fulltime Kindergarten teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years teaching experience in a developmentally appropriate, constructivist classroom setting, and a love of collaboration and curriculum design.

Upper School AP Chemistry Teacher

Lake Ridge Academy, an independent K-12 college preparatory school, is seeking a fulltime Upper School Chemistry teacher to start in the 2019-2020 school year. The ideal candidate has an advanced degree in chemistry or in a related field with at least 3-5 years of experience teaching chemistry at the high school or college level. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in teaching Advanced Placement Chemistry. The AP chemistry teacher at Lake Ridge Academy is responsible for teaching four sections of chemistry at the AP, honors, and regular chemistry level and overseeing each section’s lab periods. Class size typically falls between 8 to 15 students. Other responsibilities include serving as an advisor for 8-10 upper school students and overseeing that advisory group throughout the year. Salary is commensurate with experience and is competitive with other independent schools in the Midwest. Compensation includes a generous tuition remission plan for faculty children.
