Open Positions

Director of the Lower School

Lake Ridge Academy seeks a highly collaborative, dynamic, and committed educator to serve as Director of its Lower School starting in July of 2021. The Director of the Lower School will be responsible for all day-to-day operations for our K-5 lower school division, joining the Director of Middle School (6-8) and Director of Upper School (9-12) in leading the academic and student life of the school. The Director of the Lower School will report to the Head of School and will serve on the Leadership Team. Please read the complete Leadership Opportunity Statement for more information.

Head Girls Tennis Coach

Lake Ridge Academy (North Ridgeville) is currently seeking a Head Girls Tennis coach. Candidates should have experience coaching of all levels of talent and have experience at the high school and/or college level. Candidates must be willing to obtain the required coaching certifications and be available as early as 4:00 pm for practice/home matches and even earlier to ride the bus for away matches.

School Nurse

Lake Ridge Academy, an independent K-12 college preparatory school in North Ridgeville, is seeking a School Nurse. This position performs all school nurse duties to ensure the health of students K-12, including performing screening tests and responding to student health emergencies.

Primary qualifications for the position include a valid Ohio Nursing License, with a preference to candidates who have a School Nurse License. Candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team and have the ability to relate to a K-12 population.

Primary job responsibilities include:

  • Screening for deficits for vision, hearing & immunization status
  • Identify student health problems, and if communicable, notify parents/guardian and school personnel
  • Act as a liaison between home, school and physician
  • Provide first aid and emergency care
  • Prepare and make report to Ohio Department of Health as needed
  • Maintain and update student health records
  • Work closely with school team: divisional directors, academic services team, office staff and teachers
  • Obtain written documentation from physicians
  • Compile, distribute and maintain medical concerns list
  • Administer medication as ordered by physician
  • Maintain AED and order stock supplies
  • Participate in the School’s GoForward Committee, setting COVID mitigation measures

Custodial and Cleaning Worker – Part-Time Night Shift

A custodial/cleaning worker reports directly to the cleaning supervisor and is responsible for performing a wide variety of custodial and cleaning duties in order to provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment. The skills and knowledge required for this would generally be obtained with previous experience in building cleaning and custodial work. The employee performs regular cleaning of campus facilities, and responds to emergency calls for service; implements setup and takedown for a wide variety of campus and community events; works closely with employees and the public to meet the custodial needs of the area; and resolves problems to ensure efficient and safe operations. This is a part-time non-exempt position, with typical hours between 5:00pm – 10:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Job requirements include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year of experience in custodial and cleaning work. School Bus Drivers

Lake Ridge Academy, an independent K-12 college preparatory school, is seeking route and substitute bus drivers. Duties could include regular route coverage as well as afternoon athletic trips. The attendance of all mandatory training as recommended by the state and our school is required. Interested parties must possess a valid Ohio class B school bus driver’s license with air brake endorsement and a current Ohio Pre Service School Bus Driving Certificate. Candidates will be subject to all federal, state and local background checks. Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing are mandatory.
