Open Positions

Assistant Director of Special Events and Alumni Relations

Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Assistant Director of Special Events and Alumni Relations is responsible for building relationships with and supporting programs for Lake Ridge Academy (LRA) alumni to engage them in activities that will enhance the future of the school. The position will support the existing Alumni Relations program with the goal of improving Alumni involvement, participation, and revenue. The Assistant Director will implement a strategic approach to identify, qualify, and cultivate alumni as partners, advocates, and supporters. The position will also be responsible for organizing and executing, with support of the Director of Advancement, all Advancement fundraising events. This position requires the Assistant Director of Special Events and Alumni Relations to work closely with other members of the Advancement Team, the Admissions team and the Marketing team to ensure a coordinated, effective, and strategic approach. Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the school is a member of the senior leadership team of the school, reporting to the Head of School. The CFO will provide strategic leadership in support of the school’s overall financial health and success. The CFO is responsible for the financial oversight and management of the school, providing timely and accurate financial data, overseeing the school’s outside audit, and ensuring the integrity of all accounting information. In addition, the CFO has broad responsibilities in other areas including technology, human resources, facilities, and transportation.

The CFO will manage the business office staff, as well as provide oversight of our transportation and facilities teams. They will regularly prepare and present financial information to school leadership, the Board of Directors, and Board committees. The CFO will also interact with donors, potential donors, parents, and prospective families.

Job requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management, Accounting or a related field

  • At least five years of experience in a financial leadership role.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently record, enter financial transactions, oversee all of the financial processes of the school.

  • Comfort and experience working in an environment with limited resources.

Maintenance Worker - Day shift

A maintenance worker reports to Building and Grounds Manager and is responsible for performing routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on school buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems. The skills and knowledge required for this would be obtained with previous experience in building and grounds maintenance work. The employee performs general building maintenance repairs; grounds maintenance and snow removal;responds to emergency calls for service; implements setup and teardown for a wide variety of campus and community events; and is able to communicate effectively with personnel to resolve problems to ensure efficient and safe operations. This is a full time non-exempt position, with typical hours between 7:30am-4:00pm Monday through Friday, with half hour unpaid lunch. The generous benefits package includes health benefits, paid vacation, sick days and holidays and eligibility for tuition remission.

Job requirements include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year of experience in building and grounds maintenance work. Part-Time Cleaner - Night Shift

A part-time cleaner, night shift, reports directly to the cleaning supervisor and is responsible for performing cleaning duties in order to provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment. The skills and knowledge required for this would generally be obtained with previous experience in building cleaning. The employee performs regular cleaning of campus facilities, and responds to emergency calls for service; works closely with employees and the public to meet the cleaning needs of the area; and resolves problems to ensure efficient and safe operations. This is a part-time non-exempt position, with typical hours between 5:00pm – 10:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Job requirements include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year of experience in custodial and cleaning work. School Bus Drivers

Lake Ridge Academy, an independent K-12 college preparatory school, is seeking route and substitute bus drivers. Duties could include regular route coverage as well as afternoon athletic trips. The attendance of all mandatory training as recommended by the state and our school is required. Interested parties must possess a valid Ohio class B school bus driver’s license with air brake endorsement and a current Ohio Pre Service School Bus Driving Certificate. Candidates will be subject to all federal, state and local background checks. Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing are mandatory.
