Want to learn more about a Lake Ridge Academy education? We are happy to answer any questions that you have! It's easy to contact our Admission Department by completing an inquiry form and a member of our admission team will contact you shortly. You can also contact our admission department directly via e-mail at [email protected] or call our office at (440) 327-1175 ext. 9104.
There are several ways to tour our campus and get to know our community.
Individual campus tours are a great way to experience the Lake Ridge Academy difference first-hand. Tours are offered weekdays during school hours by our admission department. Your visit will include a campus tour with the opportunity to see classrooms and students in action, and meet faculty. To schedule a visit, call our office, email us at [email protected], or complete our inquiry form.
Open houses are another wonderful opportunity to learn about Lake Ridge Academy. Campus tours are hosted by current families, students, and alumni, and our faculty is on hand to share information and to answer your questions. This year's open houses are scheduled for October 14, 2018, January 27, 2019, and April 4, 2019. To register to attend an open house, complete the online registration form, call or email the admission office.
At Lake Ridge Academy, we strive to make the application process a simple one. Student applications are submitted through our online student application system. The application process will prompt you to supply an email address for required teacher recommendations (one for students applying to grades K-5; two for students applying for grades 6-12). In addition to the online application, all applicants need to provide a release of their school records. Students applying for grades 6-12 also need to complete a student questionnaire prior to their shadow visit.
If you are considering the need for financial support, a financial aid application should be submitted at the same time as the student application. For those applying to grades 6-12 and seeking the consideration for a scholarship, a scholarship application should also be completed with the financial aid application. For more information on financial support and a list of available scholarships, visit our affordability page. All admission decisions are blind of funding decisions.
Once the application is received, we will contact you to advise you of admission timelines and to schedule applicable screening, shadow and assessment visits as explained below:
Kindergarten applicants participate in a group screening visit that is designed to help determine kindergarten readiness. The screening offers a play-based morning for a small group of children, along with several individual readiness assessments conducted by faculty and staff.
Kindergarten screenings will be held on the following dates at 9:00 am. Space is limited so please contact admission to reserve your spot. Applications must be received before the screening.

- February 2, 2019
- February 6, 2019
- February 9, 2019
- April 10, 2019
We strongly recommend that kindergarten applicants be five years of age by September 30 of their kindergarten entrance year.
For students applying to the Lower School, we schedule a shadow day. Students spend a full day in a current-grade classroom, and are paired with a student ambassador who will help your child enjoy a typical Lake Ridge Academy school day. Applicants are asked to complete in-class assessments during the day including literacy and math assessments. Applicants to fourth and fifth grade will also return for a testing day during which achievement and aptitude measures will be administered.
Students applying to grades 6-12 participate in a shadow day that serves as an important introduction to Lake Ridge Academy. Students spend a full day attending relevant classes and activities, meeting faculty and peers, and will be paired with a host student based upon shared interests. Individual and group shadow days are offered.

A schedule of all available ISEE test dates, locations, deadlines and registration information is available by visiting the ISEE website.

Once a student is accepted, there may be additional placement tests for world language and mathematics.
Once the application process is completed and reviewed by our Admission Committee, families are notified of the committee's decision or are notified that more information is needed before a decision can be reached. Enrollment contracts are issued and space is reserved on a first-come basis determined by the date stamp on the return of the completed contract and deposit. Waitlisted students will be notified as space becomes available.
