Individual Campus Tours
Individual campus tours are a great way to experience the Lake Ridge Academy difference first-hand. To comply with our reopening plan, visitors are welcomed to campus after school hours during the week and on weekends. To schedule a tour, please complete our online inquiry and select your tour time.
Virtual events are another wonderful opportunity to learn about Lake Ridge Academy. Our virtual events are offered throughout the year, and include all the faculty, staff, current families, and students that make Lake Ridge Academy so special. To register, please complete our online inquiry and select from our upcoming events.
The first step in our admissions process is to create an account through our Parent Portal. Once you create an account, you will be able to complete the online application and other steps of our admissions process.
In addition to a completed online application, for students in grades 1-11 we also need teacher recommendations and school records, both of which are requested through our Parent Portal.
If you are interested in applying to kindergarten, please visit our kindergarten page to find more information regarding the application and screening process specific for that grade.
Though in-person shadow days are a wonderful opportunity for your child to truly feel what it's like to attend Lake Ridge Academy, we must now protect the safety of our prospective students and families. As a result, we have temporarily suspended our in-person shadow days, and instead encourage our families to attend our virtual events throughout the year.
For students entering grades 1-4, we will schedule a day for your child to come to campus and complete in-person literacy, math, and writing assessments. Students entering grades 5-11 should register for the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Lake Ridge Academy is one of many ISEE test sites, and our school code is 363857 if you plan to test here. A schedule of all available ISEE test dates, locations, deadlines and registration information is available by visiting the ISEE website.
You can also take the ISEE Online from the comfort of your own home! When searching for available test dates, select "Prometric Test Date" at the "Prometric Testing Center" at the top of the screen and click the green "Register" button. When you are asked if you want to "Register for a Prometric Test Center" or "Register for a ProProctor At Home Test", select the ProProctor AtHome test option, and complete your registration.
Once the application process is completed and reviewed by our Admission Committee, families are notified of the committee's decision or are notified that more information is needed before a decision can be reached. Enrollment contracts are issued and space is reserved on a first-come basis determined by the date stamp on the return of the completed contract and deposit. Waitlisted students will be notified as space becomes available.
Admission to Lake Ridge Academy is based on academic and personal qualifications. Lake Ridge Academy admits students of any race, color, sexual orientation, religion, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sexual orientation, religion, national and ethnic origin in administration of our educational policies, admission policies, financial aid programs, and athletic or other school-administered programs.
