K-5 Art Teacher
Lake Ridge Academy, an independent K-12 college preparatory school, is seeking a full-time lower school art instructor for the 2025-2026 school year. As a member of the LRA Fine Arts Department, the instructor will be responsible for designing curricula for six sections of lower school art classes.
Job Duties:
- Teach multiple sections of K-5 art
- Create and display an art show each year in conjunction with our music performance
- Perform extra-curricular duties as required
- Participate in faculty committees and meetings
- Serve as an important member of the Fine Arts Department
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in art education or related
● A love for working with students, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to contribute to a collaborative and close-knit teaching environment
● Possess a strong commitment to working in and fostering an inclusive community, as well as those with a similar commitment to ongoing professional development in pedagogy, curriculum development, and subject matter
Salary is commensurate with other independent schools in the Midwest, and benefits include a generous tuition remission package.
