PE Teacher (Part-Time)
Lake Ridge Academy, an independent K-12 college preparatory school, is seeking a part-time physical education instructor for the 2025-2026 school year. As a member of the LRA PE Department, the instructor will be responsible for designing curricula for six sections of lower school PE classes.
Candidates should demonstrate evidence of successful experience working with lower school and middle school students, ideally in a PE, gym, or coaching environment. A love for working with students, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to contribute to a collaborative and close-knit teaching environment are a must.
Job Duties:
- Teach multiple sections of K-5 and possibly 6-8 physical education
- Perform extra-curricular duties as required
- Participate in faculty committees and meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in physical education or related field
- A love for working with students, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to contribute to a collaborative and close-knit teaching environment
- Possess a strong commitment to working in and fostering an inclusive community as well as those with a similar commitment to ongoing professional development in pedagogy, curriculum development and subject matter
Salary is commensurate with other independent schools in the Midwest and benefits include a generous tuition remission package.
