Diverse summer camps and programs offering full and half-day experiences are open to ALL area students in grades 1-12. Rising Lake Ridge Academy kindergartners are also invited to join the fun!
Our over 40 popular summer camps and programs include: art and outdoor exploration camps, theater camp, chess camp, technology and engineering camps, soccer camp, basketball camps, tennis camp, science camps, day camps and academic camps. We offer six weeks of summer program options beginning in June. Camps and classes are offered in one to five-week blocks. There will be no classes held on Thursday, July 4, 2019 in observance of Independence Day.
The day includes half-day (9:00 am – 12:00 pm; 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm) and full-day (9:00 am – 4:00 pm) sessions, and a supervised lunch hour. Before and after school care is available if needed for an additional fee from 8:00 am - 9:00 am and from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
Registration for all Lake Ridge Academy camps will be available online in mid-February. Camps fill up early! Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. All attendees will receive a free camp t-shirt.

Additional Summer Camp Info
All tuition payments are made online during registration. Please see class descriptions for program fees. Courses with insufficient enrollment will be canceled no later than June 1, and a full refund of tuition will be made. Those cancelling or withdrawing from a class will be subject to a fee of 10% of the total tuition or $50.00, whichever is greater. No refunds will be made after June 8. Optional registration insurance is also available (see online registration form for more information). Lake Ridge Academy reserves the right to dismiss a student for inappropriate behavior with no refund for the tuition paid.
Before and after-school supervision is available for a fee of $8.00 per hour. Extended Day times are from 8:00 am –9:00 am and from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm. Students remaining in Extended Day past 5:30 pm will incur a late fee at a rate of $1 per minute. Extended Day is operated by experienced Lake Ridge Academy faculty and staff. You may register for Extended Day as the need arises. Billing is handled through the Business Office.
During the Summer Program, there is NO NURSE on duty. In the event of an emergency, 911 will be contacted.
Parents are responsible for providing their child with a lunch (including beverage). Refrigeration is available. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided by Lake Ridge Academy.
Personalized attention is an important feature of the Summer Program; therefore, class size is limited and set by the Summer Program Director.
Most summer programs are taught by Lake Ridge Academy faculty. All of our instructors are certified teaching professionals or highly experienced in their field of instruction. In many programs, a Lake Ridge Academy Upper School student or graduate will serve as a counselor/assistant.
Several camps and classes will be taking field trips. Parents will be informed of the trip destination prior to the day of the trip. Field trips are chaperoned by Lake Ridge Academy staff and transportation is provided.
